STORY :

Having received a sacred cherry tree's ash from a yokai whose name he returned, Takashi molds pottery clay into Master Kitty-Cat, which later is inhabited by a yokai that was once a large white bird Buddha statue in a priest's home. He wants Takashi to give it a teacup for easier traveling and let him borrow the clay vessel a little longer until he can return to his original body. Nyanko-sensei translates his words for Takashi, as he speaks with his mind.
Things become difficult as the clay vessel begins to break and is being hunted down by other yokai who find it scary. Fortunately, it is able to drive his pursuers off, and thanks Takashi for his aid. The bird statue is revealed to have been broken due to kids accidentally throwing their baseball at the window. The Priest thanks them for their honesty, and assures them that it was just "it's time".

从小就能看到妖怪的少年夏目贵志，继承了祖母玲子留下的《友人帐》，并与自称保镖的妖怪猫咪老师一起，过着将名字归还给妖怪的日子。某天，夏目从一位他归还了名字的妖怪那里，作为谢礼获得了一种拥有神奇力量的灰烬。夏目和猫咪老师用这灰烬制作了各种各样的陶器。然而，第二天开始，奇怪的事情接连发生，夏目用黏土制作的小猫咪老师雕像也不知何时消失了。
